Decadent is looking for some interns + fit models + social media mavens + muses!

There’s no need to reinvent the wheel so I’m gonna go ahead and yoink the specs from Tennille’s old intern search post (I hope you dont mind, girl!)

Seeking 2-3 people starting out 1-2 days a week to assist with

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*administrative crap (the stuff that no one wants to do!)

*social media management (blog, facebook, youtube). Knowledge of video editing software (or a willingness to learn) a plus

*running errands, including anything from sourcing/buying fabric to running to the post office (my fav place)

*assisting with events + photo shoots, and maybe even modeling in them ;) (so u gotta be cute! lmao)

REQUIREMENTS:

*outgoing/strong professional people skills

*a self-starter/someone who can take the initiative to start projects

*be able to multitask

*prior experience a plus but NOT a must; really looking for people who are open to learn

*flexible schedule where you can work a few hours remotely during the day. Occasional evenings and/wkends to assist with vending events and social engagements

*basic sewing and/or pattern-making skills OR a willingness to learn

*strong interest/passion for fashion/individual style, especially for creating + developing new ideas

*live in nyc + know how to use the subway extremely well—- brooklyn heads get preferential treatment! ;) I’m in Bed-Stuy

*knowledge of current trends (but not slaves to them, boo!)

*must have a cell phone

*must have own laptop or desktop computer

Re-Launch + 2 year anniversary party

I’m almost back you guys!

Decadent On Hiatus

It pains me to write this but I gotta be honest with you all.

The current collection will be on hold until further notice. I’m a one woman show as far as production goes and while I need assistance I also need better tools, new fabric suppliers and a larger work space. I’ve been trying to manage alone but it has been brought to my attention that the quality of my work is suffering. That is unacceptable. Rather than sell sub par goods I have decided to hold off on selling the leggings and the convertible collection. The store will be re stocked with other accessories and the t-shirt line will still debut in June as planned. As of right now I am unsure when the leggings and convertible collections will be re-released.

OOTD - saturday night fever

It’s been a minute since my roommate and I hit up a good reggae party. We LOVE reggae. It’s one of the things that has held our friendship together over the years. Back in college we’d go to the parties and bust all the new dances. So when we were invited to go to a party that we were sure would be playing dancehall all night we were super excited. I bought this white body con skirt on a recent trip to NY&Co. with Elyse. I don’t usually buy things from there but the skirt was on super duper clearance (9 bucks!!) and I couldn’t leave it. The pink sweater was another clearance find that I couldn’t leave. It’s marked as size medium but thats another reason why you shouldn’t give too much thought to the size on the tag. If it fits, then wear it!

Leggings in stock!

After many weeks of anticipation, preparaion and procrastination the leggings collection has finally arrived. I will be adding a few more pairs in the coming weeks and I hope the 6 pairs that are in stock will be well recieved. The leggings are high waisted which I’m sure will be a pleasant surprise for the plus sized divas who have a hard time finding leggings with full coverage. In the words of Crystal “No more crack attack!” lol I hope yall like them.  They’re $40 a pop and there will be a chance to win a pair in a giveaway soon. I’l give you divas more details on that later so for now check out the shop!
